Alan Bell

Alan Bell is president of BLK Publishing Company, Inc., a graphic design and custom publishing firm whose clients are principally non-profit and community-based organizations. For ten years, he was production manager at Hi-Speed Typesetting, a company whose tenure ran from hot metal Linotypes to the early days of phototypsetting. In the ’70s he was publisher of a weekly newspaper in New York and in the ’90s a monthly magazine Los Angeles. For 11 years, Bell was the film critic at the Los Angeles Sentinel. He holds degrees from UCLA and the University of the State of New York.


DeShawn Burton

DeShawn Burton is manager of the Content Management Department at an international document engineering and technical media solutions company. In this position, he develops methods and procedures to minimize cost while providing the highest level of quality assurance across various media and languages. With a background in graphic arts, marketing, programming, database management and engineering, he is a specialist in converting complex process and information into simplified steps and presentable material. Burton studied at the University of California, San Diego.
