About 140 folks braved the cold to join their colleagues at another informative and entertaining meeting. The meeting started with a social hour where members chowed down on delicious pizza and cookies while chatting with their colleagues. Promptly at 7:00 p.m. Noha Edell of Adobe began her presentation on four of the new features on InDesign CS4:
• Conditional Text
• Smart Text Reflow
• Cross-referencing
• GREP Styles

Then, via Adobe Connect, Claudia McCue covered some of her favorite tips to use with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat. Due to time constraints, she didn’t get to cover everything she wanted—but she got to most of the best. Claudia “LIVE” will be the featured speaker at our next meeting on March 16. She will also be leading a one-day seminar the next day, so keep your eyes open for that announcement. As usual, DC-Area InDesign User Group members will receive advance notice and a discount on the registration fee.

We closed the meeting with our drawing for prizes. Several winners left with prizes ranging from water bottles, t-shirts, and special ipod/cellphone lanyards all the way to Adobe software and training from EEI.

Next Meeting
