This workshop will show you surprising and powerful depths to three of the most fundamental areas of InDesign CS3.
Typography & OpenType
Noha will show you the powerful and sometimes hidden typographical controls of OpenType, as well as some seriously time-saving features for "style management."
Authoring Interactive PDFs
Did you know that PDFs can contain sound, video, and navigation - and you can make all that happen from within InDesign!
Noha's presentation will include adding hyperlinks, making buttons and rollovers, using master pages to control navigation, adding video, and automatically generating bookmarks in Acrobat.
Transparency doesn't have to be scary!
Discover the simple secrets of a worry-free, feature-rich workflow, all the way to final output.
Noha will demonstrate how to reduce the frustrations of printing and of the discrepancy between what you see on your monitor and the final output, pointing out the hidden pitfalls to avoid along the way.
You'll get best-practice information concerning transparency, flattening, preparing for a print service provider, and exporting to PDF. Noha will also cover the use of InDesign's forensic tools and Acrobat 8.0 for finding, fixing, and preventing problems.
